It is a sad day for sci-fi geeks - well for me anyway. On Saturday, Octavia Butler died due to a fall outside her home. I always liked her style of writing and the fact that she was a minority writer, both female AND black in a genre where there are male whites dominating. I liked her time travel novels, especially where she weaved historical fact and new technologies together. R.I.P.
