Summer ...

Olly and I took the new car for a spin and drove around the countryside. Beautiful, just beautiful :) And the trip inspired me to the following:
The ripeness of summer
Enfolds the countryside
Deep greens of trees,
Riotuous colours
Of flowers and vegetables
All soon to be harvested.
Celebrate the summer
Its wine and flowers
The giddy scent of honeysuckle and roses
Soon the greens will turn to russets
And the promise of autumn
Is only a breath away
With winter only a further step on the path.

Date: 2005-08-19 06:29 am (UTC)At least we are having a little bit of summer.
So, you have a new car? I remember the old one gave you some trouble.
How are you? And when is your trip to England?
Would love to hear from you.
Until soon.

Date: 2005-08-19 12:25 pm (UTC)We were without a car since end of May and only got our new car (brandnew) from the assembly line on Wednesday. It is a cute little Ford Fiesta, all black :)
My trip to England is in September (16th to 19th), and we will be renting a car from Luton Airport down to Bath :) It will be fun :)
We should get together again ... I'm planning a Bollywood evening with the gals anyway (hopefully before I go to the UK) and perhaps you can come as well. Have nice new BW flicks :)
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is on RTL2 on September 16th but from what I heard the dubbing is awful (like it was on Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham/Sometimes Happy-Sometimes Sad) and Asoka.
