Busy week ahead ...

After a week of lazy idleness, I have a busy week ahead. Tomorrow morning I need to start on my sewing projects so I will prepare the update tonight. Actually will do it now as it is already twenty to eleven over here.

sewing the skirt of the chemise
cutting and hefting the bodice & skirt of light gown


Yesterday, I had a long talk with Robert about our childhoods, where I came up with the following: "Every thing that happened to me happened for a reason so that I became the person I am today." But I still can't forgive my mother.

er.. sorry to bother you about this una but there's a problem with the guestbooks on mitm. from what i can understand, they're trying to change the numerical ID guest books to names... so the guestbook for the governess was 74456 and i changed it to azure884... so instead of this being the link to the guest book: http://www.cgipool.de/cgi-bin/abrakadabra.cgi?id=74456
it is now this: http://www.cgipool.de/cgi-bin/abrakadabra.cgi?id=azure884

unfortunately that means the "review" button next to the story now doesn't correspond, and now the other guestbooks also have a message. i've copied and pasted it below:

Lieber Webmaster: Dieses Gästebuch muss zum eigenen Schutz wegen zunehmender Spam-Einträge umgestellt werden.
Dazu ist nur ein kurzer Login erforderlich:
Gästebuch-Login
Ohne Umstellung wird das Gästebuch am 07.08.2005 automatisch deaktiviert. Bei Fragen: service@shoppark.de

what do you suggest i do? what's easiest for you? and this isn't important, so if you don't have a solution it's no problem. i just didn't want to make a mess of it... :-/

yeah I know I also saw this ...I will add something to the update today (this is a reason why there are no new stories today) ... our PHP entry for the review link only allows numbers but not letters and I'm trying to get a hold of our PHP guru so he can change it. ATM I don't know what to do .. but probably will have to change all review books by hand, note the number vs. name down and hope I will catch them all. Otherwise the reviews will all be lost :-(

wow.. thank you for your lightning quick response. would it make it easier if i change mine like i did for the governess review book? or will it make it harder for you to organize later? if there's anything i can do to help please let me know. i'm in india so it's a slow dial up connection, but when i have the time i will do what i can, you only have to ask. :-)

If you change it now then the review book would change its ID and the review link would go nowhere. And I can't change the ID in the edit form atm .. as our PHP guy needs to change the parameter for that particular link.
If you change it .. you best add a link and/or comment manually to the last chapter of each of your stories so ppl know what is happening.

ok, thanks una, i'll change mine and note down the new ID names and try to post links in my stories. i'll let you know them as soon as i finish. does that sound ok? sorry to bother you about this... it's not that important.

No, it is good that you told me ... I did know about the change since late last night, but wondered how to incporporate it in the new update for today. I just hope that our PHP guru is not on holiday himself, if he is I iwll have to start changing the IDs by myself, printing out a list of all of our 1614 stories and adding the new IDs by hand and wait till he is back from holidays and then I can add these into our database.
We will probably have a months without reviewbooks this way.
I hope ppl can manage *lol*

Pri, go ahead ... our PHP guru changed it and now it can accept letters and digits :)

Have changed my stuff now .. and now starting in alphabetical order ... *sigh*

Atm the review ID can't hold more than 6 digits ... we are working on it. but don't exceed more than 6 digits atm when you choose a name.
