APPLE CRUMBLE PIE
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. soft butter
5 apples, peeled & sliced
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
Blend flour, 1 cup sugar, salt and butter until crumbly. Reserve 3/4 cup of mixture. Smooth the rest till you have a good dough. Roll out on cookie sheet.
Mix apples, 1 cup sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Put on top of roleld out dough. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes. Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top and bake 20-25 minutes longer or until browned.
