Day Meme - Day 3

However today is day three and I have a tiny break to show off my favourite TV Show(s) to you :)
Hands down .. my favourite TV Show ever and evah? Space: ABove And Beyond. I have to admit when I saw a trailer for it I was like .. Oh noes, not another Star Trek franchise way back in 1995. But 5 minutes into the first episode and I was hook, line and sinker. I was a total goner. Here was a TV show that had CGI effects you only saw in the cinema ... you had a story arc and characters that you grew to love, even the evil ones (My first computer was called Elroy-L for ten years). This was the show, that ST tried to emulate with DS9 (the war), this is the show, that has the grittiness that BSG never reached. God, I miss that show. 1995 was far too early for that kind of show ... gosh what could they have achieved with a second .. a third season ... *sigh*
And because we never had a second season ... here is a fan-made trailer for season 2 that never was:
As for doramas ... my all time favourite ... that was tough ... Mars or Pride?
Well, I went with Pride - it's Kimura Takuya after all. I love this show. It is one big love story and a coming of age for a guy who is already grown up. Accepting oneself, accepting your own parents and their flaws and trying to avoid to make the same stupid mistakes again and again ... plus ice hockey and music by Queen ... a winner :)
