Day after the snow ...

It is a pity really that the snow didn't stay ... but then again living in the Western Rhine area is a blessing with our mild climate and all.

Tomorrow my mother is having her 60th birthday. Despite all, I still love her and that makes me so angry. I mean she never really gave a fig about me, all she always thought about was that she had a guy at her side so she was socially accepted. All her husbands and boy friends were assholes who abused and misused not only her but me as well and for what? To keep a stiff upper lip in front of society. ARGH!
I am pondering whether I phone her or drop by her or remain silent tomorrow. After all she forgot my birthday as well this year AND she deliberately forgot Olly's. I will probably only phone her. I really can't stomach her and my stepfather just now. But of course I will be a bad daughter because I only phone her to congratulate. So be it ... I got that label long ago (at my birth or so I suspect).

Calling her is polite without being overly warm. I think it's the best solution. I'm so sorry that you even have to deal with issues like this.

Yeah I did that and I was submitted to a good bitching. So when I had the chance, I told her as she is now 60 she should either change her behaviour towards me or won't see and hear from me for the rest of her Earthly life. She was speechless for once :)
