Ever since we have moved our life has both been spinning out of pace as well as slowing down extremely. Sharing time with each other, sharing experiences has become as important as having a minute or two to oneself.

Our chicks are busy with producing eggs we cannot by all possible means eat all, so I share them with friends I have made here in the village. It's a good feeling to share something that is organic, healthy and brings fun to ppl. OMG! You got green eggs!!! is an often heard outburst among our neighbours who get eggs. We even shared our cherries with a family down the road. Next thing up will be the apples that are growing their red cheeked splendour on heavy twigs in our garden.

I have been working on a special brochure for the village country fair and while doing so, I have found quite some nice ppl that quickly become part of our lives. I hope that with sharing experiences in life and eggs (lol) we will become an ever tightly knit community of ppl here who work towards a better life in this village.

All of us are in their thirties to late forties and it seems that somehow we all reach for the same goal - it gives me a sense of accomplishment that I didn't have in a long time.

Gosh, I'm rambling. What I want to say is this ... it seems that life here in the country is starting to change my outlook on life. Our lives have become simpler in many ways. A way to reconnect with nature, with friendship ... with life itself.

I love my life here ... our little farmstead has become the center of our lives and I'm looking forward to the friendships that are in the making and I want to see where it all leads us.

I do, thank you. It is good to fin new friends and gradually finding a community that is not as closed off as it seemed in the first few months here. Working along side with ppl, getting to know others from the village, I hope we can all make a difference in some ways.

It is indeed wonderful but also hard ... Internet is still slooooow and will be for a few years to come, so being on-line downloading stuff is much more difficult than before. Also work has changed ... before I did my household chores then went out with the dog and afterwards I did my professional work ... nowadays it's the farm animals, the dogs, household chores, the garden and sometimes down the long line it's work LOL.
But I enjoy it immensely. Healthwise I feel wonderful, my blood tests etc. all look good - well better than they did when we still lived in the city - and it might look as if I will be in for a full five year remission with a possible 'all clear' at the end. No unusual highs of cancer cells, no tumors or lumps ... I feel good. For the first time in 14 years it looks as if I have a chance to get rid of that shit once and for all.

I had no idea you, too, are a survivor. It's been 17 years for me. Fingers crossed you do indeed get that all clear.
