As you wish :) Here is a new installment of the Serendipity series. I hope you like it :)

Taking two steps at a time, Orlando rushed up the stairs to the door and opened it. After a stressful four weeks of shooting in the US he was happy to be home again and fully expected to be greeted by his wife Megan and their small daughter of two. But when he closed the door behind him nothing but silence greeted him. With a frown he set his bags down in the hall way and threw his keys onto the small paintined table near the door. At least his keys landed side by side of Megan's so he was sure she was at home. But where was she?

Following the colourful toys that were strewn around the living area, he made his way upstairs. The nursery was empty so he turned his tired feet to the master bedroom. Opening the door, he smiled when he saw Megan and his daughter Ginny curled up on the bed. Slowly, he sat down on the side of the bed and toed off his shoes before he lay down and cuddled up to his daughter's back. He inhaled her scent deeply and smiled. She still smelled like a baby, a mix of clean soap and milk. Orlando closed his eyes and let sleep come over him.

"Dada," Ginny said softly and put her hands on Orlando's face.

"Sshhh, Ginny, Daddy is tired," Megan sat her daughter onto her lap and looked down at Orlando who was snoring softly on the bed.

"Tie-et," Ginny murmured and sucked on her pacifier. Megan combed the dark curls out of her daughter's face and then mirrored the gesture on Orlando's face. After tucking a quilt around both father and daughter, she made her way downstairs. When her two precious treasures awoke, she wanted to have a welcome back dinner ready.

Thanks Una, as always I admire your way with words. You really should go on writing - it would be a shame not to.

Thank you, Alice. You don't know how much these words mean to me. I feel so inadequate when I compare my writing to others, that I never think that there are ppl out there who like what I write.

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY SOUL :)
