Of crises and happiness and dolls

You know ... these past two weeks have put a constant strain of worry on me and now, after Cenour has had his final surgery where everything went fine, my system slowly but surely shuts down.
While worrying about baby-bear I also took up a work consignment which I have almost finished. YATTA!! The money will come in handy while paying Cenour's bill and perhaps have a bob or two for a Christmas present.

But first things first ... as you might have realized (and I will answer everyone of your well wishes!!) Cenour doesn't have cancer and the hole in his tush was just a very heavy infection of a hernia that had slipped inside his tummy after the thorn had pierced colon and abdominal wall. *rolls eyes* Only Cenour can have such bad luck. Poor baby.

Some ppl on my flist who are into BJDs and Pullips and Blythes have infected me with the virus LOL. I wanna have a doll ... or a couple. Soooo ... I need help from my flisters. I would like to have 1/3 (60cm) bjds. Which brands as well as sites/sellers on ebay should I look for? I want to make the dresses myself, and also try my hand at painting the head etc. so I only need the nudes and perhaps a producer of Steampunk/Goth like boots and shoes.
I want to make a little gothy pair that I can put into Regency, Empire and modern Goth clothes just as the mood strikes me :)

Now I'm off walking with the dogs :)

There are so many brands, from high-end Volks to Elfdoll (which are reasonably priced if you want something in a realistic sculpt) to Souldoll to Dream of Doll (which aren't available from retailers) to B&G.

I would start by browsing the BJD section on this site:

They are a great doll store, they do layaway, and I'm pretty sure they ship international. They sell a variety of brands (minus Volks and DoD) and they will give you a really good idea of some of the things out there.

Yeah that icon I made from a Korean music video ...which is actually more of a mini movie about the Korean conflict between North and South. It stars three of the most famous young Korean actors of South Korea. The two soldiers in the icon are two brothers, from different sides, in love with the same girl.

I don't know anything about bjds but YAY that you are wanting to get into dolls!!! You are going to have SO much fun! Can't wait to see pics of what you come up with. 8D
