Waiting in ER

Today I waited for 3 1/2 hours in ER after my hand swelled up so badly, it looked hideous. So after 3 1/2 hours of waiting and waiting and waiting ... I was out of ER after ten minutes. They just put a splint on my hand and arm and gave me antibiotics :(

But due to two tablets the swelling has come down and I don't have any fever. There is a massive sepsis that hopefully will go away due to the antibiotics. If not I have to go to ER again to have another look and probably have my blood tested.

I'm so sorry to hear about this but glad to see that it seems like the swelling is going down. But that sounds so horrible and I hope that it's not too painful.

Waiting for 3 1/2 hours? Wow! Than in Germany this kind of thing can happen too? ;) Anyway, I hope the managed to help you efficiently in the end and your hand soon will be OK.

It was the bite of a Kriebelmuecke aka black fly. They are really nasty and while their bite always causes a sepsis they also transport Filaria which is a kind of heart worm :(
So I got Tetanus as well and in six weeks I need to get tested on Filaria :(
