Grey skies go away

We got the results from Chica's biopsy today. Something I feared has happened. It is cancer, incurable and she might not live to see Christmas. We're devastated but I'm determined to give her all the love and happiness that I'm capable of.

Suffice to say, that I won't be on-line too much as I want to spend as much time with Chica and Cenour-Kimura as possible. I keep thinking that ... if I can live with cancer, perhaps so might she. She is tough, she has gotten through so much shit before she came to us, she will make it. I just hope it will be this way. As long as she has no pain, and can eat and be happy, she will be my beautiful little terrier queen.

I'm so sorry. My cat had lymphoma and chemo (though expensive) worked very well. Dogs and cats don't react to chemo the way humans do and the quality of life is really high. Sunny was totally normal on them. We had a whole extra years with him - and it might have gone longer if we hadn't switched meds. Good luck - I hope you get a good long time with her.

that's terrible news... But at least Chica has had a wonderful year (year and a half?) with you. I hope she doesn't suffer greatly and I wish you and hubby enough strength to see this through.

oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear about this! she IS such a little darling, I hope she won't be in pain. I lost my 10-year old mini-Schnauzer to cancer at the beginning of this year, I know how hard it is! Spend as much time as you can with her, and give her all the love in the world! will be thinking of you!
