Things that make you go Hmmmm ... or giggle uncontrollably

Sometimes you can notice the passage of time all of a sudden when you come across one of your ex-boyfriends who still is a young man in your memory and you come face to face with a grey-haired guy.

Did I change this much as well in these passed years? When I look down on my hands on the keyboard I see changed, altered hands. My thumbs are still the same, stumpy and short, but my hands, esp. the top ofmy hands have gotten more crinkles and I think I can spot a few age spots as well. Oh well, I'll turn 40 in a little over a month. What do I expect?

But it IS strange, esp. seeing that photo of my ex. He looks way too old and he is even younger than me.

Cenour-Kimura had his first physiotherapy today and he acted like a pro. He loves water and he took to the water like a duck. I guess he will be looking forward to his next therapy hour :)

I can understand you quite well.
I'm 41 now and in the last 2-3 years I began to notice the same little (unpleasant) things about myself. But this is quite a natural way of things and inevitable, too. Therefor I simply try not to think to much about these changes, and accept this new "me" as I am. Anyway I can't really stop this.

I agree. It is just so strange to be confronted with someone you still remember as a mid 20 and see him or her now 10 to 15 years later and they have aged so much. It is so sudden :) With yourself you grow accostumed to your older self because we see each other every day in the mirror, but to see the new aged version of someone you haven't seen for a long time it is still a shock.

Yeah, I agree. It can be quite a shock. Some time ago I met at the street one of my school class-mates. I haven't seen her for 10 years - and I didn't recognize her at first.
