Olly just woke me up from a nap ... have been sleepy all day and the day passed me by :-( My shoulder still hurts especially now that the pain killers have worn off. The shoulder, shoulder blade and breast area have such interesting colours ... a conglomeration of glorious greens and blues with hues of purple thrown in ... an artist couldn't have captured it any better on canvas if s/he tried.

I feel sad and worried for you, dear Una. Did you try warm or ice on the painful areas? In my case, ice helps me very often. Can you take other pain killers when the previous ones are worn off? Or are you limited at one time per day?

Warmth is really good and it lessens the pain ... but as it is the shoulder it's hard to put a hot water bottle or Wärmedecke on it :s

Warmth seems to fo the trick, Marie ... but it is still painful. I don't like to take too many painkillers because they are bad for the kidneys :s

Of course ... but it is darn inconvenient to either balance it on an already sore shoulder or tying it with a piece of string to my shoulder.

Hi Una,

hope you will be better soon! Put a towel in the oven, until it is really warm/hot. It is easier to wrap around the shoulder. All the best

Thank you Alice. The oven idea is good ... if I had an oven ever since out huge microwave/stove oven went over the electronic appliance Jordan, I'm cooking on two *Kochplatten* because Olly and I seem to be at odds what exactly we want as an oven. He who never cooketh wants a state of the art thing again (our old one was one as well and it bugged every two days) and I just want four cooking thingies and a reliable oven, no fancy buttons, or ceran fields or whatnot. I don't need fancy when I cook ... and where I have to ask myself every ten seconds if the oven suddenly switches programmes and starts to grill my bread instead of baking (which was one of the errors that other blasted oven did).
