Ray of sun so gold ...
Jun. 22nd, 2007 12:40 pmIn the next following weeks His Hubbiness is on summer break and it seems all his carefully laid plans go down the drain. Washed away in the rain that is pouring continuously down :)
Poor Hubby, no nice trips to the Rhine or sitting in the green grass. On the other hand now I have him sitting miserably and whiny in the living room and insteead of two little terrors I have three. *sigh* How will I be able to survive these six weeks?
Hopefully the rain will let up during the afternoon as His Hubbiness wanted to go for a long walk with our dogs.
I wanted to sew a bit now that the weather has changed and that it is way colder. This way I can sew and pattern two dresses and one top with His Hubbiness and the two dogs out of the way. My sewing machine is still out of order so I will heft all pieces together and then start by hand. Good thing is the two dresses will be historical so I have to sew them by hand anyway but I thought my top would be quicker as it is for every day wear. Oh well I will manage.
Looks around the apartment ... I still need to clean up some corners of the living room before
elfnut and her elflings arrive. D-Day was the 24th IIRC. Or today? Naw, I don't think so ... I hope :) Still have so much to do ... but I'm glad that my flat is getting into some resemblance of order and cleanliness again. From January to May I couldn't work too long and I had cut too many corners while cleaning :) And with two dogs - one of them loosing hair by the dozen - I could have knitted a sweater from all the hairs I retrieved :)

Date: 2007-06-22 05:00 pm (UTC)i was thinking the same about the hair from my cat. since it's getting really hot out there she lost a lot of her hair ! but a friend told me that it was worse with the rabbits ^^ if we knew how to collect the hair and knit them it could be fun :p
take care !

Date: 2007-06-22 10:31 pm (UTC)Cenour always looses a lot of hair when his fur changes. He always looks like a real Podengo when he has his summer fur, he looks like a rag then :) But during the winter time he has long, silky hair with a longish mane.

Date: 2007-06-23 07:25 am (UTC)As for anumals' hair in every corner of the flat, oh, I have the same problem with my younger cat, Assya !

She is Turkish angora, with long white hair - and she used to loose it strongly, especially when the weather is hot. Because of it I already abandoned any carpets in my room - with a carpet on floor and Assya on it you have to run the vacuum cleaner 5 times a day to keep the carpet more or less clean.
