Various SMAP ending songs

Last week's ending songs on SmaSma with Kobukuro duet were exceptionally good and I ripped them from my episode:
Sakura (Cherry Tree)
Tokyo Tower (theme)
Additionally, here are two more which I really liked:
Time After Time (ending song 9th Dec 1996)
LaLaLaLa Lovesong
LaLaLaLa Lovesong (Kimura duet with Kobuta Toshinobu)

I just love Sakura and Time After Time - I could listen to them continuously :)

hehe, I can understand that :) I'm watching the boys sing it now (even if I have not watched the rest of the ep yet *sweatdrop*), I just love the first part with Shingo and the part with Tsu and the guy from the other group (which group is it btw?..lol), just sucks me into the song ^___^

he guys cal themselves Kobukuro - That is what a friend told me and the TOkyo Tower song was the main theme of the dorama with Hayami Mokomichi beginning of this year. I definitely want to hear more of their songs.

ahh, I see :) yeah, I like their sound and for once they sound nice together with SMAP (usually when SMAP sing with other people on SmaSma, I just wanna cringe *laughs*) ^^

Yeah that is so true ... though last year they had a few good performances with other groups ...I love the song with Justin Timberlake ... Kimura singing: Hurry up becos' you take too long - I have you naked by the end of the song *giggle*
Also, the one with the Backstreet Boys (I want it that way) was good. But as soon as they have to sing with female singers it goes down the drain, esp. Kimura whose voice is not compatible with thin high pitched female voices (the duet with his wife was DISASTROUS).

lol...now that does sound good...although I'm not really a Justin fan..or a backstreet boys fan ^^; maybe they have just had a lot of weird people on in the eps I have seen..lol

*nods* Kimura singing with female singers is not really the best idea ^^; but Shingo and Nakai singing with girls in the latest concert was real good, they sounded good together :)

Okay, I recapitulate what I wrote initially :)

Nakai really does seem to do well when he is in a duet, whether it is a male or female voice. Shingo too, but then he has such a wonderful voice solo or in a duet, it is always lovely.

Kimura seems to be teamed almost always with female singers who have these thin waif-like voices whihc doesn't do anything to his own voice and he tries to pitch higher :( I wish they would team him up with a woman with a slightly deeper timbre.

No way :) Even thogh I don't hate his wife like some other Kimura fans do (I always think if she makes him happy I am happy) one of my secret pet peeve is the theory that she actually got pregnant deliberately and lured him into marriage. She had not released a CD since 1997 and her concerts weren't doing so well, so I think she thought to marry - and in 2000 who was the hottest celeb in Japan? Kimura-kun. But as I said that is only my own personal secret pet peeve :)

*nods* I was very impressed with him in the last concert :) although I have a thing for his voice as well, even thou he hardly ever sings in key/tune/whatever :D but I still really like his voice and he tries so hard *pets him*

Yeah, he always tries so hard and it is a very lovable trait. Any other Western band would have tried to get rid of him or not giving him any solo parts in songs, but these guys *hugs her squishy feelings*

Yep, my sentiments exactly. And I have to admit, when I saw the clip of them doing the duet together, there was chemistry, esp. from Kimura's side. He was jumping around her like a young puppy eager to get a hug.
