Chica - a weird looking superstar
Feb. 14th, 2008 04:34 pmChica is back home and she is now sleeping off the rest of her anaethesia. She looks weird as she had to be shaved and her dirty beard is off.

The surgery went very well and somehow our vet only took out one of the lymphoid nodes at her jaw as the second one looked pristine, round and - the most important thing - is just as small as a cherry pit. The one he removed wasn't too tumourous but had an infection with puss in it. All her inner lymphoid nodes look okay and her inner organs look wonderful, without any cysts or scattering of tumourous tissue.
The removed lymphoid node will be send to another laboratory for another testing ... our vet has been highly surprisede ever since the lab came up with her diagnosis of lymph sarcoma. She is too fit to be this ill.
Here is a pic of her from yesterday (again) to see how fit she is (she'll turn 10 in early March) - despite her spondylosis she runs and jumps like a healthy little pup.

Thank you to all who had wished Chica and me a lot of luck ... it helped!!
THANK YOU, flist!! *hugs*
I will now cuddle up to Chica and will enjoy this moment of simple being with her.
