scottishlass: (Sewing Sakura)
It is raining. Which in itself is not a big feat in our middle-European eco-system. However, when the last rain has been about six weeks ago and in the meantime we had temperatures worthy of hot summer, then rain is a small miracle. It has gotten colder too, which is also a blessing. Nothing I hate more than to run around in t-shirts from one day to the next when my body is still in waking up from winter mode and I have been wearing a winter coat the day before last. This year has been a very strange spring indeed.

In other news, I will be sewing tomorrow. Finishing my Sakura bag as well as starting a new project, a quilt. I'm not sure what exactly I want to do ... abstract or figurative, but I will have a look at my fabric stash (though these are only uni-coloured ones) and have a look down town to see if I can find any crazy-patterned fabrics.
As to what the quilt is for ... either a protective cover for our leather couch (then it has to have all lavender and purples) or our bed cover .... oh that would definitely work in orangey/red shades. Something along the line of sun set :) We will see.
The blue silk muslin is still bleeding and it is almost white, I can barely see its pattern :s And still when washed or rubbed it stains *sigh*

I'm so tired, but unfortunately I won't be able to sleep tonight as I have an upset stomach. As we have been having chili for dinner this is of course, really annoying and PAINFUL. Urgh, I think I won't have any lining left from my intestines. Shucks, that really HURTS.

A couple of weeks ago I posted some pics of this performance from their Sexy Six concert in 1994 - now some kind soul has uploaded said performance onto youtube. Is it just me or do you also cringe while watching this? Jailbait anyone?
