THE HUMAN SNARE

He was staring at the sleek black surface. She gleamed seductively in the half-lit gold glow off Moya's walls.
He had made sure to keep her fully loaded. Licking each bullet before inserting it into the chamber. It had started as a good-luck charm, now after so many cycles in the Uncharted, it had become a habit.
Taking the gun, he stroked it lovingly like a lover. Kissing its butt, imaging the lips of a lovely lady. The trigger was warm, beckoning. So easy, it whispered, tempting the fragile human being inside John Crichton. But that part was long gone, today was a new day. A new day with Winona at his side, a day to survive. Holstering the weapon, stroking it for the last time, he made his way to the docking bay.

"Not today, Winona."

She looked almost serene, regal in her posture, as General Solo watched Mara Jade-Skywalker. The glaring light of the twin suns set of the silver in her now almost white hair, only faint glints of her formerly red hair were showing.

Solo knew what she was thinking, and feeling. A year ago he had stood almost at the same place, felt the same feelings, had felt the same devastation. Now the last link to his wife had been put to rest. Leia and Luke, the Skywalker twins were now one with the Force.

"I loved him." Mara whispered.
"I know."

Muck it up - will you

Good God, tonight olly and I were supposed to spend it at a double birthday party (Alex and Birgit), but thanks to my kidney and a healthy load of *I really don't want to go* on my part, I'm all alone right now and ENJOYING IT!
Olly, of course, is pissed off, but he should go out more alone. I really don't think it is healthy to spend so much time together. Besides, Alex is such an asshole and I think I am better off if I'm not attending this party lest I jump right into his face, with my Doc Martens first.
This guy is your typical German, Roman Catholic, small minded guy. He has decided tendencies of fascism in his idealogy so thanks, but no thanks.

Now I will go and watch a movie on the BIG TV ... Dolby Surround here I come :) Only when Olly is not here I can watch my movies on there, otherwise it is always at my computer with the headphones on.
