A drab and shappy affair de cœur
Apr. 9th, 2005 05:54 pmWhen I came home from the Studienkreis today (extra lessons for someone who had been ill), I phoned my aunt in Oban and together we commented on the Royal Wedding between HRH Charles Windsor, the Prince of Wales, and Ms. Camilla Parker-Bowles. Hooray to BBC World and CNN for their live-feeds.
Anyway, we both noticed how shabby and drab the wedding looked, so common place and not at all Royal to say the least. It struck me as if the two had been caught on their way to Gretna Green and had to be clandestinely married. No banns, just a special license *lol*. Very Jane Austen-ish, like Lydia and Wickham in Pride & Prejudice :)
Oh well, I hope they are happy now. I could NOT cheat on my spouse for more than 30 years ... I think I would have been dead of the guilt by now.
P.S. Come on folks ... any takers for the Book meme??? Think of my fave books/authors - it's not that hard :)
koellegirl should definitely find out two *wink*
