... this time in November ...


Gosh, it is already over a month? I really hate when this happens. My work taking over my whole life. I really REALLY hate that. I just wish I had enough money to lay off that shitty grunt work and just live and do what I want instead of editing book after book of various degrees of quality (don't ask my eyes are still bleeding :s) and I wish I could just forget about worrying to keep my bank account balanced out.

Elf is in the US and Ihope she has a lot of fun :)
JT is writing her first romance novel and the first chapters are really promising. (and every chapter is the highlight when it hits my inbox) :)
One and a half books edited, the first one was sheer pleasure, the second (which I was bullied into editing) is a pain in the neck ... a MAJOR pain in the neck. Current webdesign work seriously leads me to contemplate becoming lesbian (ever get offered to design/maintain a shop system for male nude models ... DON'T! I have seen so many nekkid men now it seriously put me off anything in this area.)
Oh and I found a look alike of Billy Boyd here in Germany :) He is 26, his name is Meiko, and he is part of Overground, the boy band that one POPSTARS here in Germany recently. Here is a pic of him ... his resemblance to Billy is stunning IMHO.

My half hour of a breather is almost over ... back to grunt work ... just another week, just another week ... this is my little mantra. Otherwise I think I would either strangle the author or kill myself :s

Matrix Reloaded review repost from 29th May 2003

As the third parts hits the cinemas worldwide today - and I have an uncanny feeling I will be too pissed off tonight when I get back from the flick to be too coherent, here is a little review of the second part of the trilogy I wrote a while back. I JUST HOPE, PRAY; BEG that I won't write a review in kind of part 3.

This is a review of the second part of The Matrix, if you don't want to be spoiled don't read on!!!

My, my, my ... 1999 !!! THAT year was great. MATRIX hit the cinemas, and boy what a movie, the special effects, the plot, the characters .. OH MOMMA!!! And the prospect that in 2003 there will be a second and third part, the whole story.
Great, just frelling great ... NOT!!!
Either I'm getting too old or the Wachowski Bros. took me on a ride on a Star Destroyer... WHAT THE FUCK???????????????????
Not only that I had several, and I mean apart from the obvious spotting David Franklin as French Major D'Omo of Merowinger, several Farscapey moments, no the whole ZION scenario reminded me of Star Wars (Ep 1 & 2) and Battlestar Galactica rolled into one ... and the sex cum (pardon the pun) techno beat scene was straight out of Farscape ... Hello??? Thank God It's Friday, Meltdown and what not rolled into one. Don't get me wrong I love Farscape, the more Fasrscape the better, but not when I'm expecting and watching the frelling fucking MATRIX !!!! And please, no council members who could have been standins in Ep 2 Attack of the Clo(w)nes.
Reloathed, I mean Reloaded, was a whole load of bollocks!! It was utter bull. Sure, the action sequences were great but ... I could make the computer graphics out from a mile. JESUS; FUCKING CHRISTUS. That was just BULL!!! The multiple Smith fight scene was awful. If I use CGI, and want to make it snappy in close-up, I'd make sure to use a computer programme that doesn't mess up the details. Sure I'll then need more bucks and a bigger processor and all, but what the hell, it will look all the better. But not the Wachowski Bros. Anyone could make it that the faces were off, even with consideration of the motion blur. Gee I have seen better animes than that. And all this deus ex machina shit about the lock keeper and the oracle. Okay I take it that the oracle is a vigilant computer programme, that in fact there are more out there in the Matrix but come on !!! "I'm here, because my purpose is to be here." That is a whole load of shit, utter, HUGE bull shit.
I have never been so utterly disappointed. As far as trilogies go Return Of The Jedi was almost unbearable, but Matrix Reloaded topped it off, lots of money going into the KABOOM, nothing into the plot and less than expected into the special effects and NADA, zilch, zero into the dialogues. Sorry, but after watching this, I'm certain to say .... There is NO spoon!! I will make sure to watch the last part when I can snag it off the internet instead of spending 16 Euros on two utterly, and totally wasted tickets again.

Now I'm cranky, I want my Farscape back. I want my fifth season, the money that went into Matrix 2 & 3 would have bought us a whole season five, and the CGI as well as the story would have been top quality. If I want to have freaky dance scenes (BOOGIE WOOGIE WOOGIE BABY) and hot sex scenes then I will watch TGIFA, the Princess Trilogie, Won't Get Fooled Again, Meltdown, and the whole lot of Farscape instead of that shit again. This particular DVD will not darken my door, definitely not.
