Down the memory lane ...

I posted the following poem already during a serious bout of booze and other .. umm.. substances on 30th July. After re-reading it, I have to admit I didn't seem too pissed when I wrote it, even though it is sappy:

Once I was obsessed with love,
Always seeking, always fleeting,
Never turning back or pausing,
Always searching for that
One true emotion.

Once I was obsessed with love,
Blind to all other emotion.
Never really finding peace,
Blind to the one true love
That called my heart
And touched my soul.

Once I was obsessed with love,
That one perfect undoing moment.
Once I was obsessed with love,
Till I did not know
What I was looking for.

Once I was obsessed with love,
forgetting all but myself.
Now I'm older, still looking for
That perfect love, and yet
knowing it slipped right
Through my fingers.


I could never write poetry so simply and graciously ignore *LOL* - after all I ain't no Shakespeare
