The US together with British Forces have started their offensive to strike the Taliban regime and Bin Laden. Late last night - about 21:00 hours our time (Central European Time) they started to bomb Kabul and Jalalabad. I was surprised that President Bush mentioned us - the Germans - specifically that we are helping in the war effort. German AWACS pilots and specialists have been sent to secure the US and Canadian borders .... Weird I would have never thought that Germany would protect the US borders one day ...
