Even though we are not yet on our DSL 6000 connection, half of it is already wonderfully FAST. The upload rates I'm getting ... OMGoodness!!

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!! Really, I don't know whether to be happy or groan ... because I still have so much on my plate that I don't know how am I going to get all this work done till tonight so I can have a nice work free weekend.
And why do I have to work? Because silly me was persuaded to edit a book for an author after his editor had been in a car accident and apparently said editor can't use his arms ... at all.
Oh well, his loss, my gain and as I have to finish the whole thing by Sunday night on such a short notice, I'll get an extra bonus on top of my contract money as well. *wiggles her tush*

Looking up from my monitor I just noticed that I have now about half a meter of DVDs stacked behind it and all of them are Kimura dramas or movies. Oi!
Can I make it to a 1 meter stack? I doubt it as there are not many subbed dramas out there available. Hmmm... which ones do I still miss?

Congrats with your new connection. Wow! It should be very quick! I can only envy you - at a moment I have to limit myself with 600 kb/sec connection; quicker ones are still too expensive for me.

Also I'm quite impressed with you list of Kimura's doramas and films. You've done a good job! ;)

As for me, of his doramas I'm in the process of downloading Karei-naru (already finishing 8th ep.) and I still don't have "Concerto", "Nemureru Mori" and "Sora kara".

Well, as far as I know, they are all more or less available in the circle of my domestic dorama fans...I suppose I'm so inactive in getting them because of pure emotional reasons. About Concerto I've heard too many negative comments, so I just don't know if it worth to spend my time on getting and watching it.

About "Mori" and "Sora Kara" the reason is different. I know Kimura-san did really good job there, especially in "Sora Kara" (I've seen clips from it), but I strangely don't want to see his characters die. Even if the actor performed it very well. The same is about Karei-naru, BTW... I just feel I don't ready to see it. Something in me is strongly against this idea. Strange, ne? :0 Well, so I'm just waiting. May be one day I'll watch them.

As for his films, I want to thank you again for the possibility to get "Oda Nobunaga". It's a rare stuff, I'm not sure I would be able to get it without your kind help.

BTW, some time ago you mentioned that in future you have plans to upload "Fly Boys Fly". Do you still have it in plans?

I do ... once I manage to get the subtitles coming with the VCD coorporating with the ripped avi file. Atm I have tried about three programmes and still the subs only show up occasionally which sucks big time :s
Same with Shoot! (which is cute in its own unique way because of the six SMAP babies :))

I also was very apprehensive about watching Kimura's characters die but in the end, it leaves so much more impact and he dies just beautifully in Nemureru Mori *sniffle*
In Chuushingura he also dies and in a couple of other dramas (like Otouto) he dies as well. You should watch Nemureru Mori, just don't watch the last two minutes of the final ep and you can still pretend he is alive and returning home. :) I do, I live in denial :)

Do you want me to copy my DVDs? I only put them as storage but I could convert them to hardsubs for real DVDs if you like to watch on a stand alone DVD player.

IMDB says that there is a Kimura film titled Shoot, released in 1994. I've never heard of it, though :D

And of course, there is the anime Howl's Moving Castle in which Kimura did the voice for the hero named Hauru aka Howl ^^ Do you like anime?

Shoot is Hit The Goal the first Smap feature film. They are all playing High Schoolers who play football (the European sort). It is a cute movie if you like the SMAP members all in their early twenties looking like 16. Strangely enough Shingo looks the most mature in that movie because he wears slacks and shirts and glasses and looks like a yuppie :)
