Erste Apfelbüte

The apple trees are in first bloom and today, while visiting the place where we picked up Chica exactly one year ago, a blossom caught in my hair. It still was wet with rain earlier in the day.



I'll try to post a pic every day throughout the year from now on ... something that will take my fancy or reminds me of something.

Auuuh!.. I'm envy of you. Here it is still about zero, cold rain, icy puddles and tons of slowly melting snow![crying].
Apple-trees in bloom, ah, this we will see only in mid (or even end) of May.

And I envy you ... we only had one measly day of snow here in Germany. This wasn't a winter, this was a totally messed up spring time over here posing to be winter.

But you are right, we are always quite early in the blooming, narcissus, crocus and stuff always bloom in March as we are influenced by the transatalntic weather, very mild - we even have a palm tree down in the yard ;-)

He-he.. This year there is no scence to envy me about winter and snow. In my region we also have a completely abnormal winter. In fact we had no normal winter. Only in Ferbuary there were about 2 weeks of snow and frost here, all other time there was the "European" type of winter, not Russian: almost no snow for the most part of the season, about +5 C, rains... Like in Denmark when I visited it 2 years ago in December.

Nasty weather I have to say! You know, when the one knows how to deal with frost, it is much more healthy weather in winter than all there non-stop rains ans and gray, wet,raw days... I love frosty and sunny days in winter, they are so beautiful, everything is bright, the snow is shimmering...

Yeah grey and wet is not good. I love the crisp, clean sun fileld winter days, where everything is shimmering and there is a slight frost on the snow so it crunches when you step on it. This is my favourite winter weather, unfortunately the last time we had that was in the early 90s. No such thing since then :(
