scottishlassNow this sucks ... Okada Junichi (V6) has been pulled off the nomination list just like Kimura last December. JE is stark raving mad! Any other talent agency would be basking in glory if their talents would be nominated - it raises their marketibility but hey, it's JE and they only want their talents to be youthful pop idols (even writing this leaves a bitter taste) instead of multi-talented serious artists.
Watched SmaSma from last week (15th January) with Mokomichi Hayumi (Ucchi from Gokusen2) and I'm again in awe of Kimura Takuya. This man can sing, act, dance, do acrobatics, he is sexy as hell, knows Paris and where to eat well, plays the harmonica, guitar and piano ... and he whipped up a wonderful tea bowl in SmaSma (though Nakai's bowl did win) - if he wasn't a Scorpio of whom I know they are multi-talented (big evil grin) I'd say he has no flaws. I hope his wife never feels inferior to him because if she does she will be in for a hart time.
*sigh* Even though I know that living with such a perfectionist must be hell I'd wish His Hubbiness (tm) would be a bit more like him. But two Scorpios together? It clashes awfully - been there, done that, got emotional scars.

And why in the world does JE do that kind of stuff??? It's really mind boggling. Like hello, youthful pop idols? We all know Kimura's age, and he's still the most desirable JE idol of all!! Also, their demographics certainly AREN'T limited to teens! >_>

Date: 2007-01-26 11:41 am (UTC)I think not only is this a personal vendetta but also the effort to keep Kimura out of the limelight once JE have gotten rid of him and Smap as they are too old.
Any other management company would be thrilled to have their artists nominated but not JE. I guess becoming recognized actors on the big screen will mean they have to cut them in on the profit their name draws, which is something Kitigawa doesn't want as we all know. Heck, you could hire each member of SMAP for a thousand US Dollar each from JE, that is how little they actually get as an income from them.

No, she pretty much had stopped doing concerts and releasing new albums by 1997/98 - a year before she even got serious with Kimura. But I think after their first baby girl was born, Kimura wanted her to be a stay at home mum which is not surprising given the Japanese society.
Did you see this? Mr and Mrs Kimura to be in one of the old SmapxSmap shows in 1998 when he first met her. It is reported that he already had a huge crush on her and judging from the video he behaved like a little boy: Lookee here, onee-chan, I can dance, I'm sexy, I'm pretty :)

Date: 2007-01-26 12:26 pm (UTC)I was covering my mouth the whole time I watched it 'cause I just felt so tingly inside seeing them together. And OMG. Kimura looked so happy and excited. And he's a great dancer (first time for me to see him dance)! The clip stopped 2/3 of the way but I can tell how bubbly he felt from his delightful expressions :D

Kimura didn't look too happy announcing his wedding >_< I bet he broke a lot of girls' hearts then *grin* I really hope they're happy together though. He already has 2 girls with Shizuka so they must be doing something right.
