Man it's cold outside
Aug. 11th, 2006 08:23 amEven though July was all about a really, really hot heatwave, August seems to be all about cold. Almost twoo weeks back we had temperatures in the 40's °C and atm it is about 12°C. I don't mind really as I love to don my warm clothes instead of desolving into puddles of sweat.
Chica is getting in heat again, meaning she is really loving and affectionate. That of course is only the overture to her being on the street non-stop not for her walks but to meet hot, willing male dogs. Sigh. The next three weeks will be a hurly-burly of checking Chica and every male dog in the neighbourhood and stopping to get her mounted.
I'm dead tired after only two weeks of work again. How I will survive the next ten weeks till the first school holidays in this term I do not know. And I will be working through them as the STK (Yeah I'm still working there, though I am working at a different location now) offers holiday courses.
As to sewing ... I'm helping organise two turn-of-the-century events in the next half year which means I not only need to finish my turn-of-the-century walking suit but also start on a turn-of-the-century ball gown that will have to be finished by March, sequins, beading and all. *BIG sigh*
Good thing my walking suit is coming along and I need to attach the waistline to the skirt and start on the Eton jacket which is already cut and only needs the collar, lining and arms attached.
