Okay, if I come across just another tie-in/special for Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code I'll gonna scream. IF the movie is so good, it wouldn't need so much brouhaha around it. If the movie impresses on its own then why all these specials and tie-ins which are only blatant advertising strategies for the movie? And why feed Dan Brown's hybris even more?

Argh!

I hate all these advertisments - they jump at you at every opportunity until you are absolutly annoyed. Even worse imo is all the hype around the football world championship. Thank god my husband doesn't like to watch football on tv.

Sometimes I am glad I don't have a telly. Mind you, I watched The Da Vinci Code last night and was shocked to see that even the popcorn bags had the ad on them! I liked the film though, I didn't expect any better or worse. The book is hardly Nobel prize material either, and in that respect, I think they did rather well with the movie.
