Krishie had always known that his parents were different. Not only were they so totally Indian, especially his MOM, no ... they were different different. They didn't behave like normal parents. Well, not like any of his school mates' that was for sure. Like the time shortly before his birthday this year when they had followed him. At first he had not known what they were up to but when he had seen his mom, sporting one of his dad's sunglasses, he had known something was up. When one of his schoolmates had told him that they were being followed, he had at first thought it was his mom ... but no.
On closer inspection it was some guy clad in black ... and black sunglasses. A guy who suspiciously looked like his dad. Good thing was, his friends were a bit dense, otherwise they would have known his crazy parents were up to something. When he looked back over his shoulder again, he saw his mom and dad, clad in black, his mom in a black saree no less, following him around, peering over the rims of their black sunglasses. But as things were as they were he ignored them and tried to concentrate on his task at hand ... window shopping.
Imagine his surprise when a day later, on his birthday, did he not only get almost all the things he had admired in the shop displays but also a pair of sunglasses with a note attached to it. Next time it was his mom's birthday, he and his dad would go on a secret mission to find out what she would like. Krishie had to admit as parents were his weren't so bad after all.
