Thank you so much, Una!! *hugs* I really appreciate the kind wishes. I am having a very good day so far. Was woken up by a call from my mother, LOL. Last night I met up with some friends already and today will be having lunch and going shopping together with a good friend. And to make me even more cheerful, I bought myself a bunch of bright yellow (like the one in your pic!) chrysanthemums!! :)

The flower in the pic is a forsythia. It is a bush with tiny yellow star-like flowers. They are traditionally the first signs of spring here in Germany and bloom before cherry, apple and plum trees (which are slowly starting out now over here). What is so amazing about this bush is that it continues to bloom throughout spring and early summer. It is very common in gardens and such and very well liked as it has such a cheerful colour.
