Good heavens, I love Lizzy indeed, but I'm absolutely not like her ... am I? If so, then Olly is my dashing if a bit serious Fitzwilliam Darcy ... Oi! He is *lol*

My datqabase is running out of space and if the provider doesn't agree on putting two 100 MB databases together to one big 200 MB database, m.i.t.m. might have to close its doors :-(

NOOOO!!! *gasp!* That's horrible! Why wouldn't they agree to do that for you?

I already asked and it is against company rules ... however now I got an email telling me that my site is hogging resources meaning ... I pointed them to the fact that my database is full and already taking away resources from others :s
I told them if they could put the databases together (3 altogether) then I would even pay more but they were adamant.
Atm Rob our PHP guru as well as me and Elf are trying to find a solution. But so far I need to reach a decision soon whether or not to accept new stories, as we have only 3 MB left.

Could you host some of the stories on a differant server or something? Just uplink them from off the main mitm site?

That is what I thought as well .. like moving all completed stories to another database but there is a problem .. the indexing and combining of the two databases is the problem :-( I hope Rob will find a solution.

I hope so too :)

I do so hope you find a solution. I could pull some of my stories if it would help? I don't have a problem with that.

Don't you dare, Miriel. We have enough authors who submitted a chapter or two once and never came back again as well as authors which never ever logged in and updated just once since our move from plain HTML to MySQL/PHP database either.
So we will pull those off the database and make room. Perhaps even establishing a policy that if a story is not continued from one chapter to the second within 6 months, we will pull the story. We have a lot of "1 chapter tbc" stories that haven't been updated within a year or much more.

So please no pulling your stories, Miriel.
