Life's like ... WOAH!!

Once upon a time there was a little girl who grew up to be a woman despite the fact that she gotten bitten innumerous times by midgets, wasps and bees. Never had she any kind of reaction other than big itchy blotches on her skin.

Well that time is no more ... I have developped an allergy against wasp and bee stings - so much as that I went into anaphylactic shock the other day. CRIPES!! Now I have this little pen-like emergency antidote that I have to take when a wasp or a bee stings. Great ... just great ... NOT!!!

I am feeling sticky and sweaty as I have been re-arranging the kitchen AT LAST!!! And everything went as where I had planned it and it looks okay!! Tomorrow I will get kitchen counter surface for one corner and then I will have more space ... ARRELURA!!! *wink*

A strong bee stings allergy?? Oh, what a "luck"... =/
Sorry to hear it, really. :( You have to be careful than. [hugs]

More of a wasp allergy, but as bee and wasp poison is chemically almost the same I've been declared allergic to both.

Oh, wasps. :( They are too aggressive. I never was sting be a bee, but many times by wasps.
I'm afraid of them so much - since the first sting, when I was a little kid about 4 or 5.

I was stung by a bee when I was little, I wanted to pet it as it looked so cute with its pollen filled back side.
Other than that I was stung a couple of times by wasps even though I didn't do anything and nothing happened, just the usual itchy blotch on the skin. When I was stung on Saturday morning it was totally different. I thought I was going to die, heart racing, tunnel vision, couldn't breathe :(

Oh, poor you. :( [hags] That was so dangerous! =( Especially in your situation - I mean when a person has no idea that he/she is allergic to this.

But anyway, now you are aware of the problem, so you will know what to do in the case of need

Yikes! That sounds really scary! But I'm glad you're okay now.

If I ever wanted to know how an anaphylactic shock feels, I now know. It was scary with the lack of breathing and that tunnel vision all of a sudden. What is a bit strange is that I have a tingling in my finger tips from time to time since then. It's a bit disconcerting when typing :s

Sorry to hear about allergies. I don't have any allergies (I think!) and never been stung by a bee either (have no plans of doing so either) :D

[identity profile] scottishlass.livejournal.com 2007-06-20 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
You are lucky not to have allergies. I didn't know I had them. As I said I had several bee stings and such in past times and it was never an issue. And bees don't actively sting like wasps, they only take it as their last resort. Wasps are more aggressive and as I attend several picnicks in the future (historic events) additional to my daily long walks with the dogs I have to be doubly careful.

that really sucks :( *hugs*

[identity profile] scottishlass.livejournal.com 2007-06-20 07:13 am (UTC)(link)
Well as long as I don't come across any wasps I'm okay, but it was scary. Wouldn't even wish such an allergy shock on an enemy of mine :s

I can imagine so *hugs* I would have been really scared as well :/ and is glad that you are okay.

The last time we had such a hot summer I heard of a few similar incidents. People who had never before had problems, were almost dying from bee stings. It is almost as if their poison is more potent because of the heat. That's my two cents anyway.

** Hugs **

Could it be some kind of reaction to chemo? may be it will go away after time, when all the drugs go out of your system?
