Five dogs and a duck

It is amazing how peaceful and quiet life with so many different animals is. Five dogs and none has reacted to HUmpelchen (our duck) other than a feathery friend. Other dogs would have seen it as prey, but not our five idiots LOL

That is so cute. Three dogs and then, wait, what? A duck? :D

Yep, a duck ... and four dogs in the pic and actually five living here together with the duck in the house :)

Oops. Missed the dog at the top. :D

They are delightful, they do not look like idiots :)
Why would they be aggressive? I believe they get all the love in the world from you and being loved makes them happy enough to treat everyone as a friend.

I wish we could keep a dog. They are wonderful. Especially for children.

LOL, well the beige one in the middle, Careto, is one big hunting nose. He LOOOOOVES to hunt, Lulu (the dachshound in the pic) and Chandini (she is not in the pic) love to chase the chicks and ducks in the garden and Sammy (in the background) and Lir (the bear in the foreground) are street dogs from Moldavia who would killed a duck if they could get their paws on it, to survive.
We have friends with dogs who are much better behaved and trained, yet we could not let Humpelchen (the duck) live like this with them in the house. They would kill it.
We can even leave them alone for a couple of hours when we go shopping and nothing happens. I guess they all understand that one rule we have here at Appleblossom House: As soon as the humans have an animal in their hands, it's part of the pack and so off limits.

awww, that is SO adorable! why is the duck inside? any particular reason? or is it permanently indoors? your babies are so well behaved!

They are a bunch of misbehaving children most of the time, but when it comes to intersocial/racial relationships they are brilliant. If my dogs were the United Nations, wars would stop immediately. Apart from cats ... cats are the sworn enemies LOL
But only if they turn up in our garden, if any of them is visiting a house with cats, they are on their best behaviour.
I love my idiots so dearly :)

That is very cool.
