Sometimes there is a movie or book that leaves you very impressed ... for various reasons most of the time ... either a description or a setting, or a scene or a plot leaves you breathless and awed. Or it is the performance of an actor or how the whole movie was shot.

I still feel shellshocked though not so much of the film but what the movie carries ... the movie reminded me of a huge classical play, something along the line of Mahabharatha which was filmed in the early nineties. This movie definitely is in one league with the Hindi textures even though it is the story of how Buddhism was introduced into India.

This is the first time that I saw a movie completely in Hindi even though I watched the Mahabharatha in its original with English subbing ten years ago. But this was completely different, because I couldn't understand a thing I had to relay on the characters and how they conveyed themselves ... I'm still awestruck, I understood the whole damn film, especially through the way it was shot, almost like a theatrical drama with different acts and scenes clearly seperated. The battle scenes were like horribly beautiful dances of blood and gore, fascinating in its theatrical dance-like moves and yet appalling in its realism with all the death surrounding it.

And Shahrukh Khan impressed me, no over-acting, he played Asok frighteningly realistic.

and another WOAH!!!
snurched from [livejournal.com profile] kazbaby1 who in turn snurched it from NYCareascapers list.

There will be more Farscape (yay!!!), they are just waiting to see how Firefly's Serenity is doing before deciding if they want to go to feature or do another mini. Brian Henson wants to do a feature, so if Serenity does good, it will give Brian help to convince investors. If Serenity does not do good, it won't mean there will be no more Farscape, it just means that it's gonna be more work for Brian to interest investors. All in all, there will be more Farscape!

So wish Firefly all the best :)
