The utter fail of directing:
Did you notice, in the scene where CY runs to ES there is a major directing fail … when they pan out you can actually see the trails on the ground of the camera wheelie on the left side of LMH LOL You could mistake it as a grid .. but a aluminium grid on the floor in 14th century Goryeo? Naw :D
Second, even though Joo-Suk's death could have been better directed (he was one of th inner circle Woodalchi after all!!!) and I cried buckets at his death. He was my favourite of the three Woodalchi assistant captains/sergeants.
On the other hand .. the pace of the story is amazing, it's a roller coaster ride and the ending is coming towards us faster and faster with lots more pain and hurdles for our two love birds.
Anyone else noticing that Choi Young actually calls his Woodalchi 'nae adir' (my sons/my young ones)? I was just bawling when he said that.
Ki Chul losing it so completely makes sense in a way. He was already a little bit unstable mentally to begin with, but now being confined to his house with ES nowhere inside, all his life's ambitions go down the drain. No wonder he goes berserk.
Some ppl say, that the kiss was too weak. Why should anyone see it as a counter-measure to prevent a Royal wedding? I think that the kiss was exchanged in front of the officials AND the two Buddhist monks was significant. It was like a medieval hand-fasting. And I think that was what CY meant … claiming ES as his hand-fasted wife in front of all these witnesses. Additionally, the king was asked to officiate, but with the King not in the palace, CY was - apart from Deok Heung - the highest ranking person after the king present. So he in some way officiated the wedding with him as the groom himself. Or just plain .. he called in first dibs :P
That scene of CY finding out that she has been poisoned yet again and his question of 'Am I that far away still?' it just broke my heart. He is such an honest man who lays it all out before her. And we get a real and not a circumvent love confession out of ES. YAY!!!!
And her holding up these pages ... it was so heart breaking.
OH, I have the feeling that after she tried to make him promise and him coming ‘home’, CY and ES did ‘it’. The whole scene with her checking the antibiotic pots and him bringing in the mail, it is so domestic and they are so at ease with each other, even ES teasing him about him having to write a love letter because of her bad hanja.
I hope the last six eps will not end up in tears. I really need a happy ending for those two who have been going through much lately.
